What must the application include?
Your application must include: (1) a letter of application; (2) a transcript (or copy) of all university marks; (3) a curriculum vitae; (4) one academic reference letter from a law school professor, judge or practitioner which refers to your legal research and communication skills and the names of, and contact information for, two additional referees; and (5) an unmarked sample of your legal writing, such as a brief essay.
Does the reference letter have to be sent under separate cover by the individual giving the reference?
No. It can be included with the rest of the materials sent by the applicant.
Will one application be sufficient to be considered for positions in both Edmonton and Calgary?
No. If you wish to be considered for positions in Edmonton and Calgary, please send separate applications.

When is the application deadline?
All materials required for application to the Court articling program must be received by the Court by noon on December 1, 2014.
Can the application be e-mailed?
No. Only an original, hard copy version of all application materials will be accepted.
