Announcements

There are two upcoming RCS training sessions that CCM is offering in Calgary, Nov 19th am/pm and in Lethbridge, Nov 26th am/pm

Use RCS to book matters such as trials, preliminary hearings, bail hearings and scheduled dispositions in: Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Wetaskiwin, Canmore, Okotoks, Cochrane, Didsbury, Siksika, Strathmore and Turner Valley.

All RCS Users - Matters booked between 3:30 p.m. on the business day before and 8:00 a.m. on the day of the next scheduled court appearance are "pre-books" and counsel is required to appear at the original next scheduled court appearance. (Release 3.5 - April 17, 2013)

Edmonton RCS Users - Trials and preliminary hearings can be booked up to 9 months in the future. Counsel who set later dates (10-12 months when available) in RCS are required to appear at the next original scheduled appearance to have the Court confirm the bookings.

All RCS Users - Please allow 24-48 hours for your booking to be updated and displayed on RCS. To reschedule a booking contact the CMO.

Edmonton RCS Users - Courtroom 267 is available on Monday and Tuesday afternoons for Early Case Resolution offers where the offer is accepted and a joint submission is being advanced.  These matters must be scheduled in RCS or at CMO for a maximum of 15 minutes.

As RCS cannot determine the difference between contested and uncontested matters it is imperative that the user ensure the appropriate scheduling criteria is taken into consideration when booking guilty pleas into Courtroom 267. If a matter is booked for longer than 15 minutes into Courtroom 267 the booking will be cancelled.

Contested and/or lengthy dispositions  are not addressed in Courtroom 267.  See RCS Bulletin dated October 29, 2012.

Calgary RCS Users - Low complexity federal matters being scheduled for disposition MUST be scheduled in Courtroom 307.
